First Sip: Brookie's Mac Liqueur

Welcome to First Sip, where we taste new and interesting drinks for the very first time.

Thurman Wise

Today, we’re tasting Brookie’s Barrel Aged Mac Liqueur, a smooth local creation from the Cape Byron Distillery team in Northern Rivers (just outside of Byron Bay, NSW).

A decadent blend of butterscotch, cacao, and coffee, it’s crafted with locally sourced roasted Macadamia Nuts and toasted Native Australian Wattleseed. Brookie’s calls it the ‘Mac Daddy’ of all nut liqueurs, and with its indulgent, velvety texture, it delivers everything you’d expect from a premium nut liqueur - and then some.

Versatile and effortlessly smooth, it’s incredibly easy to drink. We love it neat, over ice or used to elevate an Espresso Martini with its rich, nutty profile.
