The Metropolitan

This cocktail is more than a hundred years old and in fact made with brandy - not vodka - despite what you might have heard.

We don’t often get on our high horse, that’s not our style here at Measured. However, there are a couple of exceptions and The Metropolitan is one of them. This cocktail is more than a hundred years old and in fact made with brandy - not vodka. It ranks amongst the Manhattan and Old Fashioned in terms of its age and impact on cocktail making culture. So please, put down the vodka.
