Bobby Burns

While the Bobby Burns will recall some of the flavour profile of a classic Manhattan, the final drink is something distinctly more earthy and herbal.

For the lovers of a Manhattan, the Bobby Burns offers more herbal flavours thanks to the addition of Bénédictine (which is said to be made with 27 herbs, flowers and berries). This cocktail also calls for a blended scotch whisky and skips the bitters altogether. We love the dark fruit finish, which is enjoyable any time of year, but especially against a winter chill.

Mixing Glass, Jigger, Bar Spoon, Strainer, Fruit Peeler

Ingredients

45ml Blended Scotch Whisky
45ml Sweet Vermouth
20ml Bénédictine

Method

In a mixing glass add blended scotch whisky, sweet vermouth and Bénédictine. Add ice and stir for approximately 12 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass or cocktail coupe and garnish with a lemon twist.
