Old Pal

Here’s a remix on the Boulvardier that calls for rye, dry vermouth and lemon. The result is a spicier drink with a strong citrus finish.

Just like a cover song that rivals the original, the Old Pal is a riff on the Boulevardier (coincidentally, that drink is a riff on a Negroni). By opting for rye, dry vermouth and lemon, you end up with a spicier drink with a stronger citrus finish. A good one to mix on warm days or when you’re looking for a reason to dip into some Australian bitter orange aperitif.
