The Spritz is a fine drink that lifts sparkling wine with bitter orange, and the addition of soda water makes it crisp.
We have it on good authority that it’s common to see a “No Spritz” sign in bars across Florence. So while we don’t recommend you order one there, we highly recommend you enjoy these everywhere else. Ingredients
45ml Aperol or Australian Bitter Orange Aperitif
90ml Sparkling Wine
30ml Soda Water
Method
In a white wine glass add Aperol and soda water. Add ice and top off with sparkling wine. Give a gentle stir and garnish with a orange slice.
