Nelson’s Last Word

Vice-Admiral Nelson’s last words were said to be “water and wine” which inspired this well balanced drink. It’s also simple to make with all ingredients required in equal parts.

Another simple, yet beautifully fragrant cocktail that remains on high rotation here at Measured. Nelson’s Last Word is named after Vice-Admiral Nelson and his heroic stand at the battle of Trafalgar. His last words were said to be, “water and wine” which inspired the drink, though the flavours here are a perfect balance of sour and sweet, with herbal hints thanks to the Green Chartreuse.
