About Nikka Whisky
Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka, became familiar with the Coffey Still during his training in Scotland. While the process itself is not the most resource-efficient, continuous rather than batch distilling retains more of the grain’s flavours. To this day, Nikka employs both Coffey and pot stills to produce their world-class spirits.
