Jean Grosperrin, a former farm worker turned distiller, embarked on a quest in the early 1990s to find rare batches from small distillers across the Cognac appellation. Frustrated by these exceptional cognacs being lost in large blends, Jean began bottling them on a small scale. That same desire to seek out rarity and quality remains at the brand's heart even today.
